The best thing about anime? It always has a great story. The characters are the best part of any story. Most of these characters in anime are paired up. Every anime series has at least one pair that works so well together it’s impossible to not think of them as one. These two characters share an unbreakable bond, despite their being apart of a larger group.
Some pairings seem to work. These duos are great for one another, whether they’re best friends, siblings, or enemies.
Saitama & Genos (One-Punch Man)
One Punch Man’s anime series features Saitama as the main character and Genos as his disciple. Genos, an S-class hero is also known as the Demon Cyborg. Genos is a cyborg with incredible strength and speed. Saitama is the most powerful of all beings. He can end any fight with a single punch. He is now so powerful that he doesn’t enjoy the thrill of fighting.
Sekkekkyu & Hakkekkyu (Cells At Work)
Without white blood cells, red blood cells cannot function. Cells at Work demonstrates a stronger relationship between them. The bond between erythrocytes and neutrophils (Sekkekky), goes far beyond the normal functions of the body. Their relationship was not established until it was too late. When she was young, Sekkekky was saved from a bacterium by Hakkekky. She was able to find Sekkekky on her first day of work because they had already formed a strong bond.
Maka & Soul (Soul Eater).
It might seem difficult to grasp the Maka & Soul duo. This is due to the fact that one girl isn’t powerful and the other is powerful with the scythe. They work well together.
They have little romance. This is not a Ross and Rachel scene. Their goal is to defeat evil forces. Sometimes it might take them some time to get along. They will eventually understand each other and make it happen.
Hunk & Pidge (Voltron)
They are just two of five members that make up Lion Force. It wouldn’t be possible to know each of them individually. Pidge is a brilliant and intelligent person who can push Voltron to a whole new level. Hunk loves to eat. Hunk enjoys eating quite a lot. They make a great comedy couple, regardless of Voltron. Sometimes their antics can get them in trouble. They are resilient and will fight through any adversity.
Goku & Vegeta (Dragon Ball)
Despite their complicated pasts, they were never likely to become the most powerful duo of anime. They have each other’s backs, no matter what. Despite their rivalry and hate, they worked hard even though they wanted to defeat each other.
Sora & Shiro (No Game No Life)
Sora and Shiro work together like a well-oiled machine. They can explode with anger or anxiety if they are separated. If they work together, they can take control of entire countries in a matter of weeks. This is exactly what happens in No Game No Life (NGNL). Sora & Shiro are able to count on one another because of their intelligence and skillsets.
Edward & Alphonse (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Their adventure with Elric and Elric was not easy. Their father left them without saying a word. Their mother then died. The brothers tried to bring their mother back but failed. Edward was left without arms and legs, while Alphonse was left with a suit of armor. Despite Ed’s concern, neither brother was able to blame the other while they were fighting.
Their journey to find the Philosopher’s Stone has shown them that their relationship is stronger than ever. It has been stated several times that Ed is not looking for the Philosopher’s Stone for his own benefit but rather as a gift from he brother. Al is a novice at Alchemy, while Ed is proficient in using Transmutation Circles. Despite this, the Elric brother who is younger is more skilled at hand-to–hand combat.
Gon & Killua (Hunter X Hunter)
Their strong friendship can make fans wish for someone like them. They proved that they could care for and support each other no matter what, even though they were from different worlds with different personalities. While most of the changes are due to Killua, Gon’s strong and innocent personality is a key reason for Kilua’s progress.
Kakashi Hatake (Naruto), and Might Guy
Kakashi is a great guy, but Guy and Kakashi are a s-class bromance. Guy and Kakashi make the perfect combination of goofballs and badasses.
Kageyama & Hinata (Haikyuu!!)
Kageyama and Hinata were another pair of mortal enemies who became best friends. Although they didn’t like each other at the beginning, it became clear that their combined skills would make them a formidable team. Their love of volleyball and their stubborn nature made them a formidable team. They became best friends and developed a friendship throughout the series.
Mustang & Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist).
As the series progressed viewers saw that Mustang and Hawkeye shared a lot, despite having their own personalities. Their strength and ferocity is unmatched. They will be invincible when they work together. They had very different personalities which could have hindered their communication. However, they were able to find ways to communicate with each other due to their strong bond.
Kagome & Inuyasha (Inuyasha)
Kagome, Inuyasha and their characters are wonderful on their own but they find new challenges when they get together. They are able to grow together as individuals and expand the possibilities of what they can experience together.
Natsu & Happy, (Fairy Tail).
Happy doesn’t recall being assigned to kill the Dragon Slayers using the Exceeds. Natsu and Happy developed a strong friendship. They were always close friends as children. They would never leave each other’s side, as if they did, the other would get in trouble.
Mugen and Jin (Samurai Champloo).
They may not even know each other. They are strangers caught in the same situation. However, it is quite satisfying to see them fight back to back. Mugen’s natural talent makes him more like an artist than an expert swordsman. Jin is a master of the blades. Although they may not be best of friends, the two still support one another in epic battles through Samurai Champloo.
Kamina and Simon ( Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann).
Simon and Kamina are friends that are genuine. They never let anything go unspoken, especially Kamina who pushes Simon to the limits with her charisma. Because of their extraordinary power, both characters can achieve greatness together when they’re on the field together.
Isaac & Miria, (Baccano!)
Miria and Isaac are strange characters that mix main and secondary characters without much common sense. They get the most screen time of all the characters and tend to keep the story moving. They are most well-known for helping other characters, many of whom are better suited to the role of hero.
Their relationship is special because of the way Isaac and Miria bounce off each other. The partners in crime never take themselves seriously for more than two minutes throughout the show. Each time they seem to be going to say something profound or extraordinary, their subject line is completely different.
Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia)
Boku no Hero Academia is known for its epic rivalries. Todoroki and Izuku are constantly striving to be the best. Their unique relationship is one of unknowingly pushing each other to be better.
Meliodas and Ban (“The Seven Deadly Sins”)
They first meet each other by laughing and punching one another until they completely destroy an entire castle. It is lovely to see this display of affection from the beginning. Their anime bromance was a strong point throughout the anime series.
Twelve and Nine (Terror In Resonance)
Two dangerous duos are on a mission to send a message to the entire world by setting off bombs in buildings around the globe. It is easy to feel that both of them are bright minds, and it is amazing to see their work.
Akane Tsunemori and Shinya Kougami (Psycho-Pass)
Straight-laced police officers try to follow the rules but still believe in people. The hunter is like an animal that can get results without following any rules. Because it never ends, you’ll be able to binge-watch the entire series in one go. Although this type of duo may seem cliché, I assure you that they are so well done, you will love them immediately.
Kirito and Asuna (Sword Art Online).
This is an example of a strong partnership between a couple. They were not married at the start of their relationship but their partnership was built on their skills and competence. Fans may be able to see that they have very different approaches to the game. However, if you look deeper, it is actually a compliment. Asuna and Kirito work well together as Asuna understands the game better and Kirito is more determined to finish it.
Rem and Ram (Re.Zero).
They are adorable. Rem and Ram look like the perfect waifu in their twin maid clothes, but if we look closer, we’ll see that there’s more to them! These girls are full of everything, from bloodlust to tsundere tendencies.
This is it! We hope that you have found your favorite anime couple. We’d love to include your favorite anime duo in our next update. Keep an eye out for other amazing duos in our near future!
