Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Ending Explained: What Happens at the End of the Movie?

The conclusion to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse leaves viewers on a torturous precipice, signaling that there’s much more to come in the franchise.
The ending of the film is directly related to the events in the previous series, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
After the collider explosion, Alchemax scientist Jonathan Ohnn turned into the supervillain known as The Spot, seeking revenge on Miles Morales.
Ohnn plans to absorb the powers of the alternate version of the collider to increase his strength and go after Miles.
Meanwhile, Miles teams up with Gwen Stacy and the other Spider-People to save his father and confront The Spot.
However, the story takes an unforeseen turn as it’s revealed that Miles himself is an anomaly, brought into his world by The Spot.
With Miles Morales’ destiny at stake, the third installment in the series will unravel his ultimate destiny.
How did Gwen find Miles Morales? What Method Did He Use To Do It?

Spider-Man 2099 expresses disappointment at Gwen for exposing the Spider Society’s goals to Miles Morales and accidentally causing chaos with Spot’s actions.
As a result, he kicks Gwen from their group once Miles escapes Earth-42. However, Gwen soon discovers that Miles is trapped in the wrong dimension, Earth-42.
Luckily, he receives a multiversal bracelet from Spider-Punk, a device that gives him the ability to return to Spider Society headquarters.
Determined to remedy the situation, Gwen assembles a rescue team and embarks on a mission to Earth-42. Their goal is to bring Miles back to his original dimension and ensure he returns safely.
How Did Miles Morales Come to Earth-42?

In this thrilling and action-packed sequence, Miles Morales finds himself battling multiple Spider-People as he tries to avoid being captured by the Spider Society.
Utilizing their advanced technology, he manages to escape from the clutches of the Spider-Man 2099 universe.
However, unbeknownst to Miles, the machine he uses to get out is scanning the DNA of the radioactive spider that gives him his powers.
To his surprise, the spider is from Earth-42, not from his home universe, Earth-1610. As a result, Miles is transported to a parallel universe that bears a striking resemblance to his own, but with significant differences.
In this alternate reality, it’s his father who tragically dies, leaving his mother in financial straits.
Additionally, Miles discovers that his multiversal counterpart has taken a dark path and become a villain, giving him a terrifying new set of challenges to overcome.
Who is the Original Anomaly?

The Original Anomaly is Miles Morales. Gwen is assigned to monitor The Spot, but Miles becomes involved in a mission to stop the villain.
However, he faced constant rejection from the Spider Society because he accidentally released the villains of the Multiverse by receiving bites from a spider meant for somebody else.
This is because Miles is the original anomaly who unleashed all the Multiverse villains they tried to stop.
Normally, a spider from Earth-42 meant to bite Peter Parker from that dimension, but instead bites Miles, turning him into a hero. This results in Earth-42 being without Spider-Man and Fate trying to improve Miles’ timeline by eliminating his Peter Parker variant.
