The most recent news circulating right now in the entertainment industry is that Andrew Garfield has been cast for the role Frankenstein’s monsters. The film will be made by legendary Mexican filmmakers Guillermo Del Toro.
And not only that, the film also includes yet one more actor from Marvel Cinematic Universe and he’s Moon knight alias Oscar Isaac. The two actors from the same franchise will soon be seen together. Oscar will play the doctor from the Frankenstein story.
When did Andrew come into play? Is it confirmed or simply a rumour? When will the film be released? Here are the answers to these questions.
Andrew Garfield Will Play Frankenstein’s Monsters
Guillermo Del Toro is making another film for his contract with Netflix. And this time, based on Mary Shelley’s original 1818 novel, Frankenstein.
Although it’s not yet certain whether Guillermo Del Toro will make the film precisely based on the novel or with a twist of his own, just like many other Hollywood films based on the same novel.
Andrew and Guillermo have both partnered with Netflix, and that is possibly why the two have collaborated to create yet one more Netflix special.
Previously, Guillermo created the anthology series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities and the stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio for OTT giant Netflix.
Andrew was last seen as Jonathan Larson in the biopic musical tick, tick…BOOM! This film was directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Andrew played the role with such passion and dedication that he won a Golden Globe Award and a nomination at the Academy Awards. And even before that, everybody saw his return Incredible spider man in the Spider-Man: No Way Home.
More About Guillermo Del Toro’s Upcoming Frankenstein Adaptation
Both Andrew and Guillermo experienced legendary times in their careers. Their careers are in seventh heaven now. And this clearly states the undeniable fact that their collaboration has quite a lot of potential.
Guillermo recently announced a stop-motion adaptation of Kazuo Ishigoro’s novel The Buried Giant. So Frankenstein will be after that.
The only odd thing to consider is that Guillermo is a man widely known for announcing things that never get made.
That is, there isn’t any confirmation about the project until something more official and concrete is announced. For that, we must stay here.
