In a recent interview with People magazine, Channing shared a personal moment from his life when he met Matt Damon for the first time. She mentions that her first meeting with Matt was during the shooting of Steven Soderbergh’s 2011 film, tangled.
Channing further mentioned that he was sitting in an Albuquerque hotel bar together Steven Söderbergh after shooting all day. And while they were drinking together, Good Will Hunting actor Matt Damon came up to them.
Matt arrives at the bar to hang around with Steven Soderbergh. And that’s when Channing Tatum had a disappointing meeting with Matt, according to him.
Channing said the following words while remembering that encounter, “I was a huge fan and I still am. I sat down next to him, and I was like, ‘Hey, man. Where do you come from?’ — and I was like ‘I just asked Matt Damon where he came from.’”
