The iPhone 15 may be available in additional colours than previously imagined, with rumors suggesting that the range will include a pink option in 2023.
A series of recent rumors answered some of the last remaining questions. With just over a month, until the iPhone 15 is likely to be revealed, we know very little about the upcoming phone.
However, the last few rumors continue to circulate, providing a better picture of what Apple has in store for the next generation of iPhones.
The iPhone 15 may be available in additional colours than previously imagined, with rumors suggesting that the range will include a pink option in 2023.
As the iPhone 15 release date approaches in September, rumors about Apple’s color choices have gotten more and more common. According to the latest leak, the non-Pro version may be available in multiple colours.
In a Saturday tweet by leaker “ShrimpApplePro”, an image that looks like the Weibo post was posted. The post, which was translated from Chinese, noted the “green, dull yellow, or pink” model.
If accurate, the iPhone 15 color choices may be as follows, according to Shrimp:
iPhone 15 Color: Cyan
According to one color leak, the iPhone 15 will be available in cyan. This color resembles the green hue on the iPhone 12, which hasn’t been seen since, but a wide range of deeper greens have been offered.
They say the phone will feature a textured matte glass back, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro, rather than the shiny finish present on the iPhone 14. If accurate, this could affect the appearance of every color on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Blue
According to another rumor, Apple is exploring a light blue color for the iPhone 15. Considering that Apple offered a blue model with the previous three iPhone generations, it has a good chance of making one.
While this color is meant to be tested in February, a source notes that Apple’s intentions may change closer to coming.
Pink
Pink is identified as a possible color by the same source. They include the same caveats as light blue, i.e. this color is likely in testing but may not be released.
Pink is already used by Apple, particularly on the iPhone 13. However, the iPhone 14 is not available in pink, and the hue used on the iPhone 13 is much lighter than the colour rumored above.
midnight
Midnight is Apple’s term for the deep black color displayed on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 don’t have this feature. However, they do have a comparable black color.
Starlight
Apple has extensive background in using starlight colours. This off-white color is also used by the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13, with other white colours available on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11.
So this upcoming phone will most certainly be available in Starlight, white, or similar.
There is no certainty that the colour leak is true, particularly for the launch. As Apple updates its iPhone selection with additional colours mid-year, one color may not arrive until spring 2024.
