Freeridge’s new program follows the narrative of a new group of people who find themselves in mysterious circumstances after obtaining a cursed box.
However, the connection between the new individuals and the old group from On My Block is not instantly apparent – perhaps they’re distant cousins, school classmates, or live in the same interesting neighborhood.

The official video explains how the gang obtained the cursed box. The official clip features Freeridge as a come-of-age comedy about rival sisters Gloria and Ines and their friends Demi and Cameron, who have placed a curse that has brought terrible tragedy to their lives.
The story revolves around two sisters, Gloria and Ines, who attend the same school and have a fierce sibling rivalry.
However, as the program progresses, each will come to appreciate the other’s different personalities and skills, and they’ll gradually begin to work together rather than get in one another’s way.
Gloria and Ines decide to have a yard sale to raise funds, but when they rummage through the garage, they find a box of belongings that belonged to their mother, who died years ago.
The yard sale competes with Geny’s (Paula Garcés) yard sale, but Gloria boldly claims she can sell both of their items for a portion of the sale. Cam chooses to buy an elaborate box from a Geny sale, figuring that a used box with someone else’s initials would irritate Andre enough to break up with him.
Soon after, a mysterious red-haired woman (Peggy Blow) offers $200 for the box and then disappears.
Later, the lady shows up at the girl’s house and offers the $1000, but Cam has left with her, leading her to believe it’s cursed. Demi took out crystals to fight negative karma, and Ines seemed to have caught on to the idea.
Gloria, however, remains unconvinced until Javier finds out she has cancer. The group of friends at the core of this spinoff is small but close, even if Cam and Demi want Gloria to push Ines and her negativity out of the group.
They will embark on an adventure, including high levels of mysticism. There are several easter eggs for On My Block fans, such as Blow which depicts someone who looks like the late Marisol, who she played in the original series.
However, Freeridge sought to establish his own identity from the start and benefited from it.
When will Freeridge be available on Netflix?
Netflix stated in December 2022 that all eight episodes of Freeridge would be available on February 2, 2023.
