The directors of The Black Panther are looking to diversify the cast of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny for the reboot x-files. There are many movies or series coming back with new Seasons in addition to reboots.
And if we’re talking about the story and the cast then there’s plenty of opportunity to change things up. A series reboot or update may be based on the previous one or inspired by the previous one but has an existence of its own. And that is the reason why directors and creators of such series try to present a diversified casting.
It’s the same with a series called The X-Files. Series creator Chris Carter has revealed few details about the reboot of the series and shared details about casting as well.
He will be one of the key parts of this new direction in the series. Chris Carter revealed to CBC: “I recently spoke to a young man, Ryan Coogler, who is going to rewrite The X-Files with a diverse cast. So, the job suits him because we cover so many areas”.
Coogler, director of Black Panther, TrustAnd Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are also part of this project. His production company has been dealing with Disney television on a 5 year contract.
It was back in 1993 when The X-Files was released. The series resulted in 2002 before returning in 2016. In 2016, all of these items were tied to the two main actors serving as FBI special agents.
