The Last Thing He Told Me is a new thriller drama a couple of missing person created by the same people who are in command of producing “Morning Show” And “Big Little Lies.” The Last Thing He Told Me was the result of another concerted effort on the part of the parties Reese Witherspoonproducer Lauren Neustadterand Hello Sunshine, Reese Witherspoon’s production business.
Other projects they’ve worked on together include “Where the Crawdad Sings”, the upcoming series “Small Lovely Things” on Hulu, and diverse adaptations of the bestselling books.

What Is This Series About?

The Last Thing He Told Me is a drama about Hannah which was adapted from Laura Dave’s book of the same name. The Last Thing He Told Me is an uncommon family story. The plot revolves around a recently remarried father and a daughter who has nothing but insults for her overbearing stepmother.
As they try to survive, their relationship seems to break down and the family dynamic remains unstable. The father, Owen, disappears in the midst of their battle, turning their new family and their life together upside down. Amid the chaos of Owen’s confusing disappearance, his wife Hannah and stepdaughter Bailey are reunited.
In order to find out the true reason for Owen’s disappearance, the two must reluctantly work together. Their initial devastation quickly gave way to uncertainty. Hannah and Bailey are left to find a solution as more details about Owen’s excess come to light. It would be fitting that the show be marketed as a miniseries, given how the novel ends its plot.

The novel The Last Thing He Told Me is now being adapted for television by the book’s original author, Dave, in addition to Academy Award-winning screenwriter Josh Singer (Spotlight, The Post). The production was produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine in association with 20th Television.
Along with Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter, Jennifer Garner, Dave, and Bryan Singer serve as executive producers for Hello Sunshine. The show is directed by Where the Crawdads Sing director Olivia Newman, who also serves as co-executive producer.

Early stills give us a glimpse of Garner and Rice’s characters, who seem to be conversing inside an empty stadium. There is also a photo of Garner standing alone, looking confused after reading the mystery note scrawled on the yellow paper.
The two need to gather all the information they can to determine why they were abandoned while avoiding the suspicious glances of police authorities.
This show has an interesting premise, and while we do not have the trailer yet, followers of shows that focus on family tension and conflict should absolutely keep looking.
