Joe Pickett Season 2 Episode 2 Recap.

Joe comes to the forest. He watched the Grimm brothers eat the liver of a beast as he tried to get back on his feet. Joe’s presence was captured by the brothers’ heightened sense of smell.
There was a shootout, and Joe shot one of the brothers in the face. The group gets together and realizes that they must kill him, or someone else will come after them.
Joe falls into the cabin, where a mysterious woman offers him a drink to numb his pain.

Who did Marybeth turn to for help to find Joe?

Marybeth told everybody in town that Joe was missing, but nobody was there to help. Finally, he called Sheriff Barnum, who agreed to send Deputy McLanahan out in the morning to find Joe and Frank.
He also called Deputy Cricket to his house at 3 a.m. to ask if he could call Nate to find Joe.
Who got Joe out of the woods?

Following a major shootout in the cabin he’s in, Joe struggles to escape without being shot. After wandering through the forest, he sees a figure hanging from a tree but then passes out.
He wakes up being dragged through the woods, and Nate Romanowski saves him when he looks over.
Nate sneaks into Cricket’s house to surprise him, but he’s aggravated that she hasn’t contacted him at all. Despite his desire to stay, he says he just received a job promotion and should not be a fugitive.
Is Frank still alive?

Joe responds to the Sheriff’s questions about what happened in the woods with his brothers. He asks Sheriff Barnum if the body found in the woods is Frank’s, and he verifies that Frank was last seen wearing clothes found near the headless body.
The sheriff could not find anything in the woods that Joe said he would. Deputy McLanahan doubts Joe’s words, suggesting they should instead focus on the individual who killed Frank.
When the Sheriff calls to let them know the search has been called off, Joe freaks out and storms out of the hospital to go to the search site himself.
Will Joe be capable to save the day?

Sheriff Bud Barnum directs Deputy McLanahan to stop Joe from entering the crime scene. Joe continues by asking about the reason behind Sheriff Bud’s suspended search.
Following a heated argument, the Sheriff instructs him to go home and rest. A poker chip with a deer emblem falls from Frank’s grip as the body is dropped.
The camera pans to disclose snipers in the distance, peering into their binoculars amidst the chaos of the crime scene while our protagonist examines the chips.
