Wakanda Forever! T’challa Forever! Marver Studios has announced Black Panther 2 as Phase Four of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans have seen King T’challa’s last movie in the MCU so they might not be able to see the title hero or Wakanda’s King in the upcoming film. The Black Panther 2 creators are not looking to replace Chadwick Borseman’s role as T’challa. After Chadwick Boseman’s tragic passing, there has been much speculation about who will be the next Black Panther to join the MCU.
Nate Moore, MCU’s VP for Development, confirmed that the studio won’t replace Chadwick Boseman’s role as King T’challa. Moore said in a podcast that T’challa will not be appearing in the MCU.
He also said that the decision was made in consultation with Ryan Coogler who will be returning to direct the Black Panther sequel. Moore stated that Coogler and he had discussed possible recastings for the character’s fate. They couldn’t go along with it due to the impact Chadwick had.
Marvel has chosen to honor Boseman’s contribution to cinema. After a three-year battle with colon cancer, Chadwick Bose passed away in August. Fans around the world are reacting with mixed emotions to the news. Some fans are pleased with Marvel’s decision. Some are unhappy with the information, and they want to see King T’challa at the upcoming events of the MCU.
Black Panther 2: Release Date
