Mexican road trip comedy “Queens on The Run” is available at Netflix. Film directed by Jorge Makayacenters on the crazy trips four women in their 30s, Maril, Famela, Patty, and Estrella, plan to take through highschool.
However, events take an unforeseen turn when he meets the authorities and gets linked to the wrong (illegal) mob. Originally called “Fuga de Reinas”, the film uses whimsical humor and centers on stories of changed individuals.
Queens on the Run Ending Explained
They found Lola when they got to El Jack. It is revealed that Commander Lola was involved in a planned covert operation with the DEA to capture El Gavilan.
He had hired a group of dancers to help him distract himself, but they had all fallen ill. To help Lola land El Gavilan and win the $5 million grand prize, the girls step in by taking the stage at the club to perform.
During their seductive appearance, the ladies approach El Gavilan and point their guns at him. He agreed to accompany them while they were tied up and taken to his office.
Marilu was irritated by the sight of Estrella, while Famela thinking about looking for the ashes. On the other hand, Estrella has been texting Officer Roberto Martnez all the time.
Because of this, the police step in to save them, and through the subsequent confrontation, the four friends support Lola in her fight.
However, Tuerto quickly comes to El Gavilan’s rescue, taking Patty as his prisoner. Police officers swarm the structure as El Gavilan and his men take control of the situation.
Unbeknownst to Roberto, Estrella had been texting him all the time and sharing their whereabouts. As fighting breaks out, the ladies try to grab Famela’s mother’s ashes and defend themselves against the men that get in their way.
Famela shoots Tuerto just as he’s about to dump the ashes before diving for the urn. Maril, who had been waiting for a gun, shot El Gavilan in the shoulder at just the right moment. El Gavilan is taken into custody by police, and the ladies are interviewed as heroes on television.
What caused Estrella to stand in Antonio’s way?
The women performed for the audience while dressed as strippers. Paty entertains the crowd with her dancing as Girl, Lola, and Maril corner El Gavilán when he arrives.
They removed him from the crowd while holding him at gunpoint. Estrella followed them. Estrella and Maril argue as Famela searches for her mother’s ashes.
Maril ended her relationship with Antonio years ago but later regretted it. Ever since Estrella banned Antonio, he hasn’t heard from him again.
Estrella did it only because Antonio was cheating on Maril with another woman and tried to kiss her. Because he was sure that Maril wouldn’t believe him, he never told Maril about it.
Maril, however, accepts it, and the two of them come to an agreement.
