Rich in Love 2 is releasing on June 2, 2023, and here are the things you might have missed about the film.
This is a one-off watch, but it is highly recommended not to walk in with high expectations. This new film picks up precisely where the first left off, with Paula departing from Rio de Janeiro for the Amazon with another male doctor named Dr. Tawan.
Teto had created a sub-company called Teto Fresco under his father’s banner back home. However, his father chose to close down the brand and put him in command of the whole company.
Teto leaves, saddened, and decides to go after Paula and keep her company. This is where his love for the tomato industry is nurtured.
This was highly unforeseen, as anyone getting into a sequel film would be anticipating a continuation of the previous film. Unfortunately, Rich in Love 2 is utterly out of place and annoying at times.
Many of the subplots feel out of place, particularly when Tito becomes involved with an Amazon tribe and his conflict with the “Tomato” gangster chief. However, Tito’s personal growth and efforts to build his empire are reflected in Rich in Love 2.

So who is responsible for illegal mining that makes people sick?
To Teto’s surprise, the mining project was funded by none aside from Everaldo, whose real reason for getting the tomato cooperative has nothing to do with healthy fruits. So the three of them hid and listened to the businessman’s dark dealings.
Paula is disappointed to see Dr. Tawan happily accepts bribes from Everlato to disregard mercury-related diseases in the mines. He was even more dissatisfied when Everaldo mentioned Teto’s request that he intervene and stop him from volunteering in the Amazon.
Wunin no longer trusts Everlato after hearing him boast about owning the Teto tomato company.
Does Teto have a plan to save Pawi?

So Teto hatches a plan to kidnap Everlato on his ship and use him as a negotiating tool to free Pawi.
On the boat, Everlato discovers the identities of Monique and Igor and Solange are shocked to hear that his father is a criminal. Teto is surprised to find out about Igor’s history but is willing to share the family fortune with him.
After Pawi’s rescue, the gang abandons the ship, but before Everlato shoots Teto. Thankfully, Paula’s medical intervention saved her life.
Who is responsible for Everlato’s arrest?
When Dr. Tawan goes to the village, Paula instantly confronts him for taking bribes. On the other hand, Tawan secretly recorded an illegal bribery try to broadcast online. After the video went viral, officers had no choice but to arrest Everlato.
One year later, we discover that Igor’s wife now runs the Tomato King company, while Monique and her boyfriend, Solange, operate the cooperative. On top of that, Igor is now a stay-at-home dad pursuing a university education.
How long until Teto and Paula reconcile?
Teto has spent a year traveling across the country in search of the strange yellow tomatoes Wunin describes at the start of the film. Finally, he met Paula in one of the villages.
Eventually, the two reconciled and decided to rekindle their relationship. It may have taken a year, but they’ve matured enough as individuals for their relationship to work.
