The Special Ops: Lioness series was first announced as part of the Paramount+ programming suite launching in September 2020.
Taylor Sheridan has created a new American spy thriller television series ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ whose plot finds a female Marine assigned to befriend the daughter of a suspected terrorist who is being watched by the US Central Intelligence Agency.
When will ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ be released?

The Special Ops: Lioness series was first announced as part of a Most important+ the programming slate launched in September 2020.
That year in February, Zoe Saldaña was cast as the main character of the series. He also joined as an executive producer at that time together with Nicole Kidman.
The following month Laysla De Oliveira also joined. Following the series’ writer’s room in June, Sheridan took over as showrunner from Thomas Brady.
Other cast members have continued to join since September. Kidman and co-stars Michael Kelly and Morgan Freeman were cast in January 2023.


The title of the series was initially just ‘Lioness’ which was changed to ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ in May this year.
Paramount+ released the series’ official trailer on YouTube on June 8, 2023. The series is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on July 23, 2023.

Zoe Saldana-

American actress Zoe Saldaña has been cast as the main character Joe in the spy thriller series. She previously starred in the recurring role of Regina in the American TV serial drama series ‘Six Degrees’ from 2006 to 2007.
In the 2014 two part four hour tv miniseries ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, Saldaña played Rosemary Woodhouse in addition to serving as executive producer.
For another American romantic drama miniseries ‘From Scratch’ she served as executive producer and also played Amy.
Laysla De Oliveira-

In the role of Cruz Manuelos, Canadian actress Laysla De Oliveira has been cast. His only major TV role since now has been Dodge in the first season of the American fantasy horror drama TV series’Lock & Key‘.
De Oliveira has also starred in a number of films. In 2016 she played Paula Ferreira in the family drama film ‘An American Girl: Lea to the Rescue‘.
Then in 2019, she played Veronica in the Canadian drama film ‘Guest of Honor. The same year she also starred as Becky DeMuth in the Canadian supernatural horror drama film ‘In the Tall Grass’ and as Maddy in the Canadian sci-fi action film ‘In the Tall Grass’.Code 8‘.

Nicole Kidman-

Besides ‘Special Ops: Lioness’, other television series that will be starring Kidman is ‘Expats’ and ‘The Perfect Couple’. In all three of these upcoming series, he serves as an executive producer.
Morgan Freeman-

The character of Edwin Mullins is played by veteran American Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman in the series.
His first television credits were through the American educational kids’s tv series ‘The Electric Company’ in which he portrayed numerous main characters from 1971 to 1977.
In the 1985 American tv miniseries ‘The Atlanta Child Murders’, Freeman played Ben Shelter. He was cast as the main character Stuart in the dramatic anthology tv miniseries America’Solo‘ in 2021.
