After a two year gap, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King has returned. The upcoming anime film will debut on Netflix on June 16, 2023, at 19.00 JST.
A first look at the film was announced in October 2022, followed by a trailer two months later. Black Clover is set in a world where magic is crucial to everyday life.

What’s Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King like?
The narrative of Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King will follow a new storyline in which a revived Wizard King from the past wants global domination.
As previously stated, this film is not part of the original Black Clover anime or manga series. Yki Tabata, on the other hand, has written a new narrative. Asta and company must fight Conrad Leto, the predecessor of Julius Novachrono, as the Wizard King in the film.
Conrad intends to use the “Imperial Sword” to resurrect the other three Wizard Kings — Edward Avalaché, Princia Funnybunny, and Jester Garandaros — and conquer the Clover Kingdom.
As you’d expect, Asta is not about to let their monstrous schemes take shape, and a huge magical battle begins.
Although this film is a new plot, it has been established as canon in the remaining Black Clover TV series. As a result, it is impossible for fans to miss this Witch King showdown.
