Melanie Lynskey took to Twitter to finally hit back at the criticism that occurred after America’s Next Top Model Season 1 winner Adrianne Curry tweeted. It wasn’t just another tweet, it contained some sharp criticism of Melanie Lynskey’s characterization in ‘Last of us.’
This is what the tweet said, “his body says luxury life… not post-apocalyptic [sic] warlords.” After this, comments started pouring in where people somewhat agreed or disapproved of Adrianne Curry. However, the tweet was later deleted.
Melanie Is So Heartbreaking As She Responds To Criticism Of Her Casting

It looks like Adrianne Curry’s tweet must have infuriated Melanie Lynskey as she took to Twitter to drop a heartbreaking reply. He posted a screenshot of the deleted tweet together with a picture of the star’s InStyle photo shoot.
Afterwards, the Yellowjackets star created a separate tweet in which he complimented his co-creators of ‘The Last of Us’ for selecting him. He appreciated the fact of casting a character who was not “the coolest or toughest guy” but someone who had the best ideas in the shattering world of ‘The Last of Use’.
He added, “I understand that some people were upset because I wasn’t the typical actor for this role. It was electrifying for me. Aside from the moments after the action is summoned, when you feel like you are in fact in someone else’s body, the most thrilling part of my job is subverting expectations.
While Adrianne Curry did not make a separate tweet to reply to Melanie, she did comment in a separate post.
In one such post, Curry wrote, “I said she was too soft, short and curvaceous for me to buy as a ‘warlord’ over warrior man in a band of beastmen in the collapse of a post-apocalyptic society.”
