The upcoming South Korean film ‘Kill Boksoon’ is just around the corner. The plot revolves around a famous assassin named Gil Bok-soon who is a single mother at home.
Before renewing his contract with his employer’s company, he finds himself facing an inevitable confrontation. On the other hand, legendary killers find the contract killing industry less intrusive than parenting.
When Will Kill Boxoon Release on Netflix?
The film was first confirmed on January 4, 2022 with the ensemble cast in the main cast. Netflix released the official trailer for the series on YouTube on March 16 this year.
‘Kill Boksoon’ was released at the Berlin International Film Festival on 18 February 2023. It will be available on Netflix on 31 March.

Jeon Do-yeon
South Korean actress Jeon Doyeon plays the main character- single mother and successful assassin Gil Bok-soon. It was reported on April 7, 2022, that he stopped shooting for the film as a result of an injury, although he continued shooting after his treatment in hospital.
Do-Yeon became the first Korean actress to win an acting award at the Cannes Film Festival when she won Best Actress at the 60th Cannes for her role as Lee Shin-ae in Lee Chang-dong’s drama film ‘Secret Sunshine’. She also won the 1st Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actress for this role.

South Korean actor Sol Kyung Gu plays a character named Cha Min-kyu who is the CEO of the company where Bok-soon is an employee- MK. ENT.

Like Kyung-gu, Esom will even be starring in other upcoming films specifically ‘Single in Seoul’, ‘Starlight Falls, and ‘Possession’.
Koo Kyo-hwan-
As Han Hee-Seong, an assassin affiliated with the company, we will find a South Korean actor Koo Kyo Hwan in the films. In the 2017 drama film ‘Jane’, Kyo-hwan plays the titular Jane.
Then in 2020, he played Captain Seo in the robbery action horror film ‘Peninsula’. The following year he was cast in the action drama film ‘Escape from Mogadishu’ playing the role of Tae Joon-gi.
He has had roles in three upcoming films aside from ‘Kill Boksoon’ specifically ‘Escape’, ‘New Humanity War: Resurrection Man’, and ‘Finding the King’.
Kim Si-a-
Kim Si-ah plays Bok-soon’s daughter, Gil Jae-yeong who does not know her mother’s profession. At a really early age, Si-a has starred in a number of well-known films. In 2018 she played the lead role of Kim Ji-eun in the South Korean drama film ‘Miss Baek’.
The following year she played the supporting character Soon-ok in the disaster film ‘Ashfall’. In 2020 he played another main character Myung Jin in the South Korean horror film ‘The Closet’.
He will even be starring in the upcoming South Korean film ‘Bigwang’ in the role of Dong-Joo.
Supporting cast members of the upcoming film ‘Kill Boksoon’ include Lee Yeon, Park Kwang-Jae, Jang In-sub, Choi Byung-mo, Kim Sung-oh, Kim Ki-cheon, Gi Ju-bong, Kim Jun-bae, Jang Hyunsung.
