The Xiaomi 12T Pro is a strong device. It has a large footprint, is comparatively thick, and weighs 205g. It’s disappointing that the build of this phone is so similar to the much cheaper brand Android.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro uses a Gorilla Glass 5 back rather than plastic. While the curved glass with a silky finish is amazing, the Xiaomi 12T Pro lacks a high-end, natural feel.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro lacks all the frills that other phones in this class have. There is no microSD card slot. There is no jack for headphones. Nonetheless, the device contains an IR blaster, which allows it to function as a universal remote control.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro offers an amazing in-display fingerprint scanner but only has an IP53 rating for water resistance. This implies it’s designed to endure only a small amount of rain.
Xiaomi 12T Pro Price and Availability

The Xiaomi 12T Pro was introduced in early October 2022, with the same availability as other Xiaomi phones, which means it is not available in the United States.
However, the 12T Pro may be available in Australia soon. The version available in the UK costs around $850, placing it someplace between the mid-range and high-end.
Can Xiaomi’s camera live up to expectations?

The main camera feature of the Xiaomi 12T Pro is a 200MP camera.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro camera takes 12.5MP photos by default, thanks to pixel binning, which combines pixels in the camera to create better images. Pixel-binned photos also take up less storage place than standard photos because they’re much lower resolution.
There’s an 8MP ultra-wide for wide-angle shots, which is suitable in some situations. Still, the images are comparatively low-res, and the colour profile is very different from the main camera shots.
Then there’s the 2MP macro camera, which can be more effective for close-up photography as a result of the low sensor resolution.
To compensate, some of the superb and entertaining Xiaomi AI mobile features are back. For example, there’s Sky mode, which lets you adjust the view of the sky from a photo you have already taken, and Film Effect, which uses AI to replicate camera tricks from film cinematography.
The 20MP camera is located on the front of the phone. It snaps good looking selfies.
Xiaomi 12T Pro Battery Life

The 12T Pro comes with a large 5,000 mAh battery. One charge lasts about 15 hours. Unfortunately, the 12T Pro does not include wireless charging. However, it includes a 120W charger. Xiaomi says the phone can be “ready in just 19 minutes.”
Xiaomi 12T Pro performance

The 12T Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage, making it, in theory, a powerhouse. The gameplay is fluid, and scrolling between feeds is simple.
Like other Xiaomi phones, the speakers have been tuned by audio company Harman Kardon. The 12T Pro is less good than a real speaker for playing music loudly, but as phones go, it is one of the better ones.
This is particularly useful if you enjoy watching movies or playing video games without using a headset or headphones.
indictment
The 12T Pro is big, powerful, and prepared to entertain, but its 2022 design drawbacks, overheating issues, and over-reliance on an impressive-sounding but non-lethal 200-megapixel camera make it not the best buy at $850.
However, if you can find a phone for less, there’s still plenty to enjoy here – significant discounts are common for Xiaomi.
